Syrah

Valle de Casablanca

This Syrah comes from a west-facing red granite slope that directly receives breezes from the Pacific Ocean. The cool conditions of this vineyard allow the most aromatic qualities of this varietal to shine. Through careful extraction work in the winery, a balanced, elegant, and expressive wine is born.

PAIRING

Highly versatile, it pairs well with roasted and grilled vegetables such as peppers, zucchini, and eggplant. A perfect match for mushroom-based dishes, especially those sautéed with garlic and herbs.

SERVICE

Ideally served between 15 and 17ºC (59–63ºF).

AGING

Best consumed within the first two years.

TASTING NOTES

Intense ruby color with violet hues. On the nose, fresh red plum, cardinal flower, anise, notes of fresh lavender appear when swirl-ing the glass, ending with dried leaves, undergrowth and tobacco at the end. On the palate, smooth entry, medium acidity with good tannic structure that fills the mouth. The freshness and brightness of the fruit profile is distinctive of this “almost unoaked syrah” (I refer to the fact that we didn’t employ any first or second use oak barrel).
